FAU Solar at “überMorgen – The Future Talk” in Nuremberg

As part of the series “überMorgen – The Future Talk” at the Deutsches Museum Nuremberg, three experts from academia discussed key questions around the future of energy. Dr. Maria Hammer and Prof. Dr. Mario Liebensteiner, both members of FAU Solar, were joined by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Susanne Lehner, expert in battery systems at FAU, for a well-rounded and insightful panel discussion.

Together, they addressed the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, touching on topics such as photovoltaics, hydrogen, storage systems, and the role of nuclear fusion. Dr. Hammer presented recent developments in organic photovoltaics, developed at the Energy Campus Nuremberg, while Prof. Liebensteiner explored market dynamics and regulatory frameworks for a sustainable energy system. Prof. Lehner completed the panel with her expertise on battery technologies and energy storage solutions.
